Welcome to the Laurenville Fire Department. The fire department is operated by the Laurenville Fire District. Laurenville Fire District is the sole provider of fire and rescue service for the 57 square mile Town of Laurenville, and its 30,000 residents. It is completely independent of town government. The fire district is overseen by a 7 member operating committee who are elected by the residents of the district.
The Laurenville Fire Department is a combination department consisting of 47 full time firefighters, 2 full time civilians, 7 part time civilians, and 132 paid-on-call firefighters (volunteers). The department operates out of 7 stations, utilizing 7 engines, 3 ladders, 4 transporting rescues, 1 special hazards, 1 ARFF vehicle, 3 forestry/brush units, 1 tanker, 3 boats, and 2 battalion vehicles.
